Huddersfield Choral Society is delighted to invite singers from across the world to join us in our first ever online choral workshop.
This 3-hour workshop will be led by Huddersfield Choral Society Director, Gregory Batsleer.
Throughout the afternoon singers will spend time getting underneath the skin and exploring the well known and frequently performed Mozart Requiem. Gregory will guide singers through this remarkable work, exploring some of the trickier sections as well as highlighting some of its most interesting and challenging corners.
The session will feature input from Huddersfield Choral Society Vocal Coach Joyce Tindsley. Joyce will lead the warm-up at the beginning of the session as well as provide some useful tips and advise on vocal technique, particularly in relation to Mozart Requiem.
As part of this event we are thrilled to be welcoming the internationally renowned baritone Roderick Williams to talk to us about his illustrious career, as well as giving us his thoughts on the place of choral music in contemporary culture.
This online workshop promises to be a fruitful afternoon of choral adventure from the comfort of your own homes.
Participation in the workshop is free. However, we welcome donations of any amount to support the continued work of the Huddersfield Choral Society.
